In the same way that we like to make use of CNC in the machine shop, we make use of CAD wherever we can as well.

Many parts we make are drawn up on CAD to ensure they will work together and that the dimensions are correct before being sent to a local firm with which we have a very good working relationship for CNC profiling and folding.

This is particularly useful when working on new designs or changes, as it can be made sure that there are no clashes before any material is cut or wasted.

We were tasked to make new front cladding sheets for 35011- first drawn in CAD the components were then cut and folded, before being welded together and painted in house before delivery.

Whilst the sheet metal bending is carried out elsewhere, pipe bending is something we do in house, having sourced a good supplier of high quality C106 copper pipe in the correct imperial thick wall sizes we are able to supply pipework for anything from lubricators to main steam pipes, including provision of the turned components and fittings necessary for the ends, and the brazing required to fix them on.
